Act 3 (11-13 year olds)
Our Act 3 classes are specifically built for our older juniors and material is selected to be more challenging and mature for their growing skills and confidence with a view to them preparing to move onto our Youth Theatre.
They are taught singing, dance and drama with opportunities for solo singing, harmony work, varied dance styles and script work.
Our students love to perform on stage and we believe this helps build confidence in performing in front of an audience. As a result we offer lots of live performance opportunities each year. Every child is given a speaking role in our productions as well as learning to work as an ensemble which is an essential part of musical theatre training and a great life skill!
All of our productions are staged with a full lighting rig and microphones and we provide fantastic costumes for every show giving our students a great insight into professional theatre.
Before each show we also have a photo shoot which goes onto a professionally recording of each production so parents can keep a memento of their child’s performance.
At least once a year we bring in theatre and TV professionals to give one-off workshops to our students. Past visiting specialists include: Nikki Trow (X-Factor & BGT Choreographer), Barnaby Thompson: Lion King (West End) Mary Poppins (West End), Michael Jibson: Les Miserables (film) Beauty & The Beast (film) Hamilton (West End) Winner of an Olivier Award for Best Actor.
